Reiki is a meditation practice, spiritual life force and healing modality. Sensual reiki drops this practice into the lower chakras with the intention of sensuality, connection and intimacy. It allows for us to connect more deeply to listen to our own body, its desires and limits. In the West, we often see this area as a genitals and sex organs. The East allows us to connect with these energetic centers to move beyond the logical and biological expressions of self.
When it came to the bedroom, I found myself looking for strong, alpha male types where I could fully release this powerful persona and release fully into the moment. In many traditions, including tantra, the masculine is the container, the structure, and creates the space of trust. When the feminine can fully trust this container and the safety of this relationship, she is free to relax, settle, and come into the flow of the feminine. The feminine is able to move out of the masculine energy and release the need to provide that sense of safety and security for self. Bondage creates this dynamic, and the power exchange possible in fully releasing the need to be in control, and embrace what’s possible when we can simply exist.
I do believe time heals all wounds, and yet with reiki, this wound seemed to heal a bit better. I could see more clearly and look upon our relationship with the eyes of love. My heart filled for gratitude for the lessons I learned about life and relationships after our time together ended. My perspective shifted as my heart returned to its rightful place — a home for love, compassion and understanding.
